Best 3 Programs to Unlock iPhone 4s

by admin on

Heya! I feel like it’s a good time to write a post about what I think the best software to unlock iPhone 4s is.

Jailbreaking and Unlocking your iPhone 4s can be very tricky if you don’t know what you’re doing… So I decided to keep the software I’m writing about here the absolute best.

All of these programs will do all the unlock work for you and will finish with it in a matter of minutes. They always make sure that the software is updated so that it works for the latest iOS and baseband versions.

The programs work on all other iPhone versions (iphone 4, 3gs, 3g) as well as other iDevices – iPod touches (all generations), iPad (all versions).

The process is very simple – you just follow a comprehensive guide with screenshots for every step you take. Makes it completely safe for non-geeks! Jailbreaking shouldn’t just be for technical people.

If you ask me, forget about trying to do an iPhone unlock yourself. It’s way too technical, boring and dangerous – you might ‘brick’ your phone. One of these programs will get the job done in 5 minutes flat with a nice helping hand. Easy. Here goes, starting from my absolute favourite:

1. Jailbreak Unlock (Best iPhone 4s Unlock we’ve reviewed)
I found this software recently, and it’s almost too excellent to believe. You have to see the website and the app, really.

I used it not only for myself but for 2 other family members with iPhone 4s (hi Mom!). It also worked on my iPad and another friend’s older generation iPhone, 3g or 3gs I can’t remember. But yeah, I know firsthand that they support more than one device. Excellent in case you ever want to buy another apple product in the future or have a few already (I’m a bit of an Apple fanboy myself if you couldn’t tell).

After downloading and installing it, the unlocking (and jailbreaking) takes less than 5 minutes from start to finish. Awesome! Just hit the “Unlock” button, make yourself a cup of instant noodles, and you should be almost finished haha.

Jailbreak Unlock does a full unlock (also called a “jailbreak and unlock”). Some other programs don’t do that. Without getting too nerdy:
- Unlocking means being able to use the phone with other service providers SIMs, and not just the one you have a contract with, to take advantage of better rates or when you’re overseas.
- Jailbreaking means being able to download apps from alternative appstores, add other functionalities to your device, and even get paid apps for free (although that’s illegal and we don’t promote that kind of behaviour).
- Some unlock solutions only unlock your phone without jailbreaking it. Jailbreak Unlock gives you the jailbreak as a bonus :)

There’s a 30 day money back guarantee – no questions asked. From actually using their software and support, I can tell you that the guy who runs the site is just an all-round good guy who wants to help people liberate their iPhones. This comes across in their support – it’s really good and their staff is super-responsive. Major plus in my books.

As for actually using the program – it was very easy to follow their instructions (in fact, I can’t see how you can get it wrong) – which is a massive relief compared to other unlock solutions. The price was reasonable and includes lifetime membership in case you ever want to update your iOS and need a new unlock for that version. These guys are the absolute best without being more expensive, and so they get a 10/10 from me. Click here to go to their site now and check them out.

2. Apple Unlocker
A decent iPhone 4s unlocking solution I know and have used. It was my favourite before finding Jailbreak Unlock, which is why I mention them. The actual process takes a bit longer (around 10 minutes, double digits!).
The reasons I like them less are:

- Support staff much less responsive. Sometimes my e-mails got a response after more than 24 hours which would suck if you really need your iPhone working well.

- Also, the Unlock didn’t include a jailbreak, which is half the fun. If I’m unlocking my iPhone might as well have it functioning completely limitation free right?

It’s OK to use in case Jailbreak Unlock website is down or something and you’re keen on getting your iPhone 4s unlocked ASAP. It wasn’t too hard to actually follow the instructions here either, and the program works just fine. Overall I’d rate them 7/10. Check out their website

3. iJailbreak Tool
This jailbreak/unlock solution works and that’s probably all the good I have to say about it.
It took longer to jailbreak, and the instructions were a bit more technical to follow. The files were zipped in a weird format and it took me 5 minutes just to understand how to install it. Confusing instructions is definitely not cool with a technical product like this. The price was standard.

Customer service was a bit below the standard other companies have, as they seem to have outsourced it all overseas (there was a number to call, in India. Making an international call to solve these issues is a bit expensive in my book). They also had e-mail support which is OK. I never ended up using their support so I can’t comment on how well they do it.

Overall I give this unlock solution 5/10. They could have made it rank higher, but they seemed to have been sloppy in making the product and the support for it.

Either way, I’m off now after writing this long review. I hope this helps you out in your Apple adventures – and enjoy your liberated iPhone!

Angus
